PROJECT ORGANIZATION PANEL FOR AFTER EFFECTS

Installation

Step 1. Close Adobe After Effects if it is open.

Step 2. To install, copy the projex.jsxbin into the ScriptUI Panels folder of your After Effects install.  (on Mac:  Applications/After Effects CSX/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels) or (on PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CSX\Support Files\Scripts)

Step 3. Launch After Effects and open up Preferences. Make sure "Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network" is selected.

Step 4. Access the panel  by navigating to:  Window > Projex.jsxbin

Create Filesystem Directory

Step 1. In the Projex panel, add a folder to the list of folders to be created by typing a name under "Directory" and click the + icon.

Step 2. You can also nest folders by selecting an existing folder in the list prior to clicking the + icon.

Step 3. Once you've added your folders, click the "Save" button to save the directory for future use.

Step 4. Click the "Create Folders" button.  You will then be asked where to create your project.

Your project folders are now created.  Enjoy!

Create Document Directory

Step 1. In the Projex panel, add a folder to the list of folders to be created by typing a name under "Document" and click the + icon.

Step 2. You can also nest folders by selecting an existing folder in the list prior to clicking the + icon.

Step 3. Once you've added your folders, click the "Save" button to save the directory for future use.

Step 4. Click the "Create Folders" button.  Your new directory will be created in After Effects' Project Panel.
